Firehouse Subs Closed

Thanks go out to Bryan for sending me the following question through the ASK US page:
“Tried to go to Firehouse Subs only to find a sign saying they are going to reopen in January. January is almost over. Are they gone for good? What’s the scoop?”
The Firehouse Subs was located on the East West Connector in the small retail strip just west of South Cobb Drive and the Publix Shopping Center. It appears that Firehouse has met the same death that the Starbucks in the same location met last year. I just checked the Firehouse.com site and used the restaurant locator to try and find one in our area…see below, nothing popped up.
Mason and Bryan,
Firehouse Subs will re-open in the same Smyrna location in February.(The goal is february 19th) We are busy getting permits and licenses and look forward to re-opening that store as soon as possible. Thank you for being loyal customers and we hope to see you very soon!
I stand corrected…the above post was submitted by an employee of Firehouse Subs’ corporate office. It goes to show that you never know who is out there keeping up with what is written in cyberspace.

Thank you for giving me and my readers an update on this location. Do you care to share an explanation for why the store has been closed? An even better question…do you care to share an online coupon that my readers can use at this location when it opens back up?

The Zee who owned that store decided to leave the company. Fortunately, the new Franchiseee is very excited to re-open that store!!! For your readers, we will offer a free combo(chips and drink) with purchase of a sub, through the end of February when they mention “Mason’s Blog” or “Smyrna Blog Dot Com.” This offer can only be honored at the Smyrna location. We hope to see y’all soon for the meatiest, cheesiest, steamiest sub in Smyrna!
